Situated in the middle of Heritage Wood is a 'Certificated Location' caravan site available all year round. The caravan site is large enough for up to five vans at any one time and provides an ideal opportunity to take a caravan holiday to visit the Peak District and delightfull Asbourne area.
In the winter months a hard standing plot is available. Grass bays, surrounded by Willow trees, with electric hook-ups are available in the summer months. Both children and dogs are welcome and there is no extra charge for awnings
This carvan site is an ideal place for visiting Ashbourne as well as enjoying the hospitality of the surrounding local inns and eating places.
The historic market town of Ashbourne, lies in an attractive valley divided by the Henmore Brook and is frequently referred to as the 'Gateway to Dovedale'. But it is much more than that with its many fine buildings, good shopping facilities and attractive layout. Most of which has been protected since 1968, by Conservation Area status.
Ashbourne and the surrounding areas have a number of historical and interesting places to visit. One such place is Kedleston Hall, one of the best surviving examples anywhere of the work of Robert Adam. Lavishly decorated with fine collections of paintings, furniture and sculptures. There are also many walks through the beautiful Derbyshire countryside to choose from.
The Peak District is a beautiful and tranquil part of England and has the most spectacular scenery and the prettiest towns, villages and hamlets in the country. The Peak District also enjoys the most extensive public transport network of any national park giving you a unique chance to visit the countryside without having to worry about taking the car. The Derbyshire woodland has many walks at various levels to cater for all people's needs. You can also venture underground and explore fascinating caves, relax besides ancient waterways and reservoirs or indulge your passion for shopping in one of the traditional market towns.
